Health care in the Ottawa Valley is provided by five hospitals, four family health centres, nine long-term care facilities, 12 retirement homes, and a wide variety of community health support services. Physician recruitment activities are undertaken so that the high level of service that our residents have come to expect can be maintained well into the future. There is a wide range of social service organizations to meet the needs of the broader upper Ottawa Valley region, and most of the national health and wellness organizations maintain local offices.
