Pembroke is the largest centre between Ottawa and North Bay along the Trans Canada Highway. We relish the fact that we have state of the art health, eductional, and recreational facilities.
We strongly support our youth and the education system offers state of the art English and French elementary and high schools, as well as a Montessori school, presenting local students with many options with which to explore their future. Algonquin College has been a cornerstone in our community for over forty years, and continues to offer courses of excellence that include programs in outdoor adventure, nursing, social services, business and forestry.
See our Murals - Canada's largets outdoor gallery, with 30 exceptional works of art depicting our rich history painted on our downtown buildings.
Pembroke is renowned as Hockey Town Canada, and if you like hockey you will love the Silver Stick Hockey Tournament that takes place each year, the largest amateur hockey tournament in North America with over 160 teams participating.
We have a lot to offer, and we invite you to come and live in a City that cherishes small town attributes. |
