The Townships of Head, Clara & Maria are located on the westernmost border of Renfrew County in the Ottawa Valley. Our municipality consists of the four hamlets of Deux Rivieres, Bissett Creek, Stonecliffe and Mackey and are located 2 hours and 20 minutes west of Ottawa and 1 hour east of North Bay.
Our municipality runs along 60 kilometers of Trans Canada Highway 17 and is bordered by the Ottawa River on the north and Algonquin Park on the south.
We are well known for our numerous outdoor activities, hence ... "A NATURAL PLAYGROUND".
If you are interested in experiencing the outdoors - Welcome. In summer come and stay at one of our many area cottages or campgrounds and find out what awaits you within our "natural playground". We also claim access to Algonquin Provincial Park via the Brent Road in Deux Rivieres. Before your trip, stock up on supplies and fuel at one of our general stores.
In winter come and stay at our cottages and enjoy snowmobiling on the many trails maintained by the Missing Link Snowmobile Club. |
